The game has been crashing a lot - probably 10-20 times in the past 60 days. I haven't noticed any common factors except maybe I am panning or right clicking some of the time. Sometimes it's 20 minutes after starting sometimes it's a few hours. It just happened (Apr 2, 5pm).
I'm on a MacBook Air macOS 14.6.1
I never use custom content or mods. I have restarted the computer and no change.
I’m on mac as well. Just yesterday, (April 6, 2025), it’s gotten to the point where every time I go in game and unpause, it crashes. After about 5 seconds of being unpaused. (Before it had occurred while I was building the night before, I thought it was because I had left the game running while doing other tasks and didn’t stress it). The next day I had downloaded more mods/custom content is when it started crashing like crazy; I speculated that it was because I deleted a couple of files: lastCrash, localthumbcache, Options.ini, WickedWhimsInfo.Log, localsimtexture.cache, avatarcache.package, Config.log, and possibly others. I’ve taken out the newer mods that I had added to see if it was those but it wasn’t, BetterExceptions even showed me there was no broken mods in my game. I updated my computer to the latest macOS.
I need help, I’m a complete rookie when it comes to things like this, I just love the game and like to play it… then some major issue comes to stop me from playing. I really don’t know what to do and I want to get back to gameplay as soon as possible.
