I have a new mac. My old mac couldn't play sims and I'd given up trying to fix it. The new mac is having the same issue. I am not sure when it started. There was an update I think. Origin became EA and I think that's when the game stopped working. I also have a windows machine so I just swapped onto there to play and it was fine. However now I am determined to fix it as EA say it should work on mac so it bloody well needs to work without needing a bunch of work arounds or they need to stop saying such.

I have a clean sims 4 install. No CC or edits. Just most of the DLC

When I try to run the game it minimises the EA app and looks like it's going something for 10s and then the EA app window pops up again as if nothing had happened.

Not sure what to do and I've tried just having the base game, same thing happens. I wonder if it's one of the DLC? Anyone had a similar issue?
