How interesting, you both have the same Category IDs for your crashes on slightly different ARM64 equipped Macs and different versions of macOS. Only EA know what the Cat IDs mean but hopefully this will help. I looked up the Metal references, could you check your OS isn't trying to launch the game using Rosetta? Click on the base game once, wherever you have that installed, usually Applications > EA Games, so it is selected then click on File > Get Info. Is the little box next to Open using Rosetta checked or unchecked?
I have a further question for you both - When you start with a clean folder, no user data at all, the game opens right? So you click New Game and go into CAS. In CAS, do you make a new sim or use one from the Gallery? If you make one, do you always use the same CAS items each time you have tested or random different ones? If you download a sim from the Gallery is it always the same one or random different one? Or one from your online Gallery uploads?
I deleted everything and started the game again, but it still doesn't work.
