Hello! I've tried a few of the suggestions that came up in the other threads, but nothing seems to solve my issue.
I've tried to change the game properties in Origing to disable the game from launching in-origin.
I've tried to lover the game graphics quality down to low, still nothing.
I've delated from the sims 4 folder the user.data.lock file who was pointed out as the issue for some other simmers who were trying to launch the game.
This has been Happening since I've updated my iMac (retina from 2016) to iOS Catalina, I've also updated Origin and downloaded the latest patch for the sims4.
in the image you can see how my screen looks like whenever I open the game. it's pretty bad in the start menu and whenever I move to another town in the game or when the screen first loads, after a few seconds it get better but the glitch-iness is still there and makes it annoying to play. Suggestions?
For this specific problem it looks similar to an issue that some other players have had that was improved by switching from Full Screen mode to Windowed mode (you can do this in the game options after you launch The Sims). Once in Windowed mode you can double-click the title bar of the winow to expand it to fill the screen. Does this work for you?

Here are the info you asked for!
iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015)
Processor 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Graphics Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB
I can definitely try that, for the moment I've also tried repairing the game and I'm currently resetting to factory settings as well.
I'll update.
