Amount of memory (RAM) too please 🙂 Also, how much storage space do you have left?
The Sims 4 is not a file you should be moving to the desktop but the whole Sims 4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder, and not putting any of your current saves and mods back in until you have thoroughly tested a new clean game.

- @Bluebellflora Yes the folder sorry that's what I did. I'm thinking of uninstalling/reinstalling the whole thing and see if it will work or not. I'll try doing the test runs again with a new folder of ts4.
memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

4GB? That's very low. Do you have many packs installed?
I doubt uninstalling/reinstalling will do anything but you should definitely try the clean folder. Start a new save and play for a bit.here are the specifics. but regardless, I've been playing for years and this never happened to me/game at all. @Bluebellflora
- @Bluebellflora update, i deleted the whole TS4 folder and started the game anew, but even in startup and CAS, it keeps on freezing.
