Game Kept Getting Stuck Loading at Random Places

My game kept pausing and getting stuck loading at random places in the game, I tried running it without mods and ran a repair but still didn't fix it, the game pauses, and my curser will turn into a colorful spinning ball (I use mac) and load for hours until I force-quit the game altogether. The game seems to run fine when I move my Sims 4 folder out and start a completely new one.
