game won't launch // folder looks odd.

a few days ago i purchased the high school pack and i already have a ton of packs and mods and cc and stuff, so i'm experienced in that field. But after downloading the pack my game wouldn't launch a...

And in the newly created Sims 4 folder it’s just those files again?

Can you go into System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Files & Folders and make sure there is a tick in the box next to the game. If it isn’t checked you need to check it.

can i add my old saves and mods now?

    Yes.

    The reason it wasn’t working before is because you hadn’t granted full permission to the game to access the Documents folder. During the installation and first launch of the game a window will have popped up asking for permission for the game to access the Documents folder. You must click Allow. If you click Deny the game can’t properly launch because it can’t properly create the files and folders needed.

    @Bluebellflora okay thank you so much.

    i just put my old saves in the game, which are working but then i put my mods in and it's saying basically all mods are broken. will it help redownloading all my mods?
