Game won't start due to language error after September 2019 update

After September 2019 update I can't get the game to start. I keep getting an error message: Unable to start:   The current user is not entitled to run The Sims 4 in the installed language.   [f0...

    @irynadakota  Some countries receive language-locked versions of Sims 4, and Origin blocks use of any other languages for these installs.  There are also issues sometimes if a new pack comes from a different region, and its language isn't supported by the base game, or vice versa.

    Have you bought any new packs recently, maybe from a third-party seller?  (Some of those codes come from different countries too.)  What language did you install Sims 4 in originally?  Have you recently traveled or moved to a different country than when you bought the base game?  Origin could be confused about your current location as well.

@irynadakota  There was a Sims 4 patch released yesterday, and it's possible that simply updating will fix the issue, although I wouldn't count on it.  Otherwise, you might need to experiment a bit.

In your Origin library, is the Sims 4's language still listed as the same one you've been using?   Right-click (or control-click) on the TS4 icon in your Origin game library, select Game Properties, then Advanced Launch Options.  If it's showing a different language—even most region-locked versions have a few options—change it back, then right-click on the TS4 icon and select Repair Game.  If the correct language is showing, toggle it to a different one (if available) and back, and repair the game.

If that doesn't help, please check which language file is in the game's program files.  Open Applications > The Sims 4, right-click on the game's icon, and select Show Package Contents.  From there, the path is Contents > Data > Client.  You should see a file labeled Strings_something (mine is Strings_ENG_US.package).  Try removing this file (right-click and select Move to Trash, but don't empty the trash yet, in case you need to restore the file) and then repairing the game in Origin again.

You were right, the language setting inside Advanced Launch Options was incorrect. Repair started automatically, the game now starts with no problem.
