game wont start even after ive uninstalled bad mod

I am on a Mac and when I go to open my sims game it tells me this exactly "

Unable to start:

Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a Mod please remove it and try again.  If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

/Users/isabellabuldak/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/regencysims4MFJaneGameOfGowns.package.download/regencysims4MFJaneGameOfGowns.package

I have uninstalled this item and made sure the file was fully deleted but my game still is showing that message. I have tried repairing it and installing then reinstalling but nothing is working.

    Hey @Izzy0428,

    if you have removed the file regencysims4MFJaneGameOfGowns.package try deleting the localthumbcache.package and all of the contents of your cache folder and then repair your game.

    Note: Always remove these folders when making changes to your game or re-installing: Mods, Save, and Tray
    If you have made videos of your Sims or taken Screenshots you will also want to remove those folders.

    Note: If your game is installed on a external drive read this "step 3 - Point 3.
