@BluebellfloraI just tried all of those related to my issue, nothing worked. Same issue after renaming the folder, and the problem started before I updated my Mac anyways...

Incompatible mods seem to be the culprit. For the multiple folder, please could you click on your Mods folder once to select it then go to File > Get Info. Under the General > Where section near the top of the info window please copy and paste the location of your Mods folder here. Please do this for all the Mods folders you have.
