Grey boxes

After I updated the game I've had problems with the graphics (I think). The message wall is grey and really hard to read, and some of the icons are now turned into grey boxes. I had to empty my folder and put my saves back into the folder to make the game work again after the update. But I don't think that that's the problem.

I play on a Macbook, if that helps.

Can anyone help me. Please look at the added screen shots.

Let the game go through the loading screens, don't skip them. It's a known issue - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/POSSIBLE-BUG-UI-glitches-and-greyed-out-menus-after-April-patch/m-p/7819322#U7819322

It can also be caused by outdated UI Mods so if you have those, check they are up to date.

I haven’t played for a week or two, it might have been the update before this one.
Or even the mac update to Caralina.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Did you find a way to fix it? I'm running Mojave on MacBook by the way. No mods or CC.

No, I still haven’t found any solution. It appeard to be fine after I repaired the game in origin, but it came back the next time I started the game. And now repairing the game doesn’t do anything.
