Half-Black Screen - Sims 4 Crashes When Launching
Hi all,
When I try to launch The Sims 4, my screen goes half black and my whole computer crashes.
I'm running Sierra 10.12.6 and my OS cannot be updated any further.
Here's what I've done so far:
- Un-installed, re-downloaded, re-installed Origin & The Sims 4
- Fully updated Origin & The Sims 4
- Moved my Sims 4 game files to my Desktop
- Reset Origin
- Repaired
- Disabled "Origin In Game"
- Un-installed The Sims 4 again, re-downloaded & re-installed The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Legacy Edition
- Restarted my computer
None of these have helped. After the last crash, it says I need to download The Sims 4 Legacy Edition again for some reason.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
So even though my Mac said no updates were available to my OS when I checked, the Apple website says that any system running Sierra can run High Sierra. I installed that, and The Sims 4 launched with no problem!
