So I've downloaded sims 4 on origin and when I try to play it, it tells me I need to be on windows -_-
Any idea how to fix this???

Did you buy the game or are you using Origin Access Suscription? If you bought it, The Sims 4 is compatible with both PC and Mac, and you should not have this issue. If you're using Origin Access Suscription, please note that it's not compatible with Mac and you can't install games from The Vault on macOS.
You need to exchange it for the Mac version. Contact a game advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/
Note that there is a Mac forum for further questions you may have.

Origin will download the correct version of the game depending on which platform the user is on. There is no need to contact EA for an exchange. Once a game is bought through Origin it is available to the user on either platform at no extra cost.
Does the DVD version have both Mac and PC versions on it?
No, it only has the Windows version. There is no Mac version available on disc.
