HELP!! I am getting a 'Game has run out of memory.'

Hello All,

Frustration is not even the right word. I have done everything the internet suggested for my MAC and nothing is working. I have attached all the photos of the error I get. Could something please help! I chatted with EA and they could not help. My game is running on an SSD. It was working fine. Here are something I tried.

  1. Cleared cache
  2. Uninstalled the game
  3. uninstalled EA
  4. tried a new account
  5. deleted activities to free up RAM space        Please Help! I invested so much into this game.  Please check out the attachments for more information.

Your game installation is installed on an external SSD?

Or you have created, or attempted to create, a symlink to store the EA/TS4 folder on an external SSD?

Or you're saying your Mac has an SSD as internal storage (all ARM Macs and Intel Macs produced in the last 10 years or so have SSD/Flash storage)?

How much storage is available on your internal drive? About This Mac > More Info > Storage

Launch Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) make sure the memory tab is selected with Memory showing from highest to lowest order, then launch the game in windowed mode so you can see the Activity Monitor window in the background. When you get the error message click on the Activity Monitor window and look for The Sims 4, it will be at the top of the Process Name list. How much memory is it using? At the bottom of the Activity Monitor window is a little table, how much Memory is used?
