help with mouse control and cheat box (mac) sims 4

I just switched from PC to Macbook (pro). When I play the sims 4 I can't open the cheat box, it only takes screenshots when I try and I cant rotate the screen around with my mouse. I tried searching...

    You can also hold down the CTRL key and use two finger click and hold to pan the camera around.

But like what is it that I want to change with the mouse to be able to change the view of the game with the scroller? And also I fixed the problem with the cheat bar thank you!

You can also hold down the CTRL key and use two finger click and hold to pan the camera around.

    Before, on my pc I had a scroller on my mouse, (what you use to scroll up and down on sites etc.). If I clicked on the scroller and kept on holding it down I could move the screen around how I liked it. Do you get what I mean or am I describing bad?

      I understand 🙂 The CTRL key and two finger click and hold is the equivalent on a trackpad.
