How do I rotate objects in build mode on The Sims 4 for Mac?

How do I rotate objects in build mode on The Sims 4 for Mac? I honestly have no idea and I'm not sure what to try. But rotating objects is obviously important if you want your Sims to be able to use ...

If you need to rotate objects on Build/Buy mode, you can use either your mouse, trackpad, or keyboard.

To rotate using your mouse on Mac:

    1. Open Build Mode.
    2. Select the object you want to place.
    3. With the object selected, hold the left mouse button.
    4. Move your mouse in a circular motion to rotate the object 45°
    5. Let go of the left mouse button when the object is facing the direction you want.

To rotate using your keyboard on Mac:

    1. Open Build Mode.
    2. Select the object you want to place.
    3. With the object selected, use the period key to rotate clockwise, or the comma key to rotate anti-clockwise. This will rotate the object 45°.
    4. Click the left mouse button to place the object.

To rotate using your trackpad on Mac:

    1. Open Build Mode.
    2. Select the object you want to place.
    3. Click to place the object, not letting go, and rotate it in 45° increments using your finger on the trackpad in a circle motion
    4. Release your finger on the trackpad to place the object.

You can also rotate objects freely without snapping them to the grid using your mouse:

    1. Open Build Mode.
    2. Select the object you want to place.
    3. Using the mouse, left-click and hold the object.
    4. Hold down the Alt/Option key as you move the mouse, turning the object.
    5. Let go of the left mouse button when the object is facing the direction you want.

For full details on rotating items, see the Official EA Guide: Rotate Objects in The Sims 4.
