How do I uninstall Origin on my Mac?

I downloaded Sims 3 for Mac and it downloaded and installed fine, but now it won't launch the game, but it is stuck open and it won't let me shut down my computer or force it to quit. I called EA Support and they told me to uninstall and reinstall Origin but my computer won't let me. Help?

    Hi @ashleybaby106,

    Could you try to hold down the power button for a few seconds to force shut down your Mac?

    To reinstall your Origin, you will need to uninstall it, and then download and install it again.

    If that doesn't help, please, give us more details of what is happening so we can try other solutions 😉
