how to play sims 4 on a macbook pro?

I am aware that sims 4 can not be facilitated on my Macbook pro. however i do know that sims legacy edition is available to those PC's that are too old, the problem is my Macbook pro is saying that it's software is too old to download sims 4 therefore without me downloading sims 4 how can i play the legacy edition. please help as i really want to play sims.
