How to tell if I am running Legacy?

How do I confirm whether I am running the legacy edition or not? We were using legacy edition on our mac mini (2012) because it was running 10.9. In order to buy some of the new content packs I upgraded the OS to El Capitan which supports Metal. How do I confirm that I am now using the standard edition? It's showing 1.61.15.1220 as the release version on the title screen. I have to say it's super confusing that two seem to look identical and even worse that I can buy content even when it won't work because I am running the legacy version.

    The LE shouldn't run if your Mac supports Metal. If you open the Config.log file in the TS4 folder and look under the Graphics device Info section, what does it say next to Driver?

    You can also check by seeing if you can access any online features, the LE has no Gallery access.

    To properly get rid of the LE you have to uninstall the current version of the game and the LE and download just the normal version.
