I accidentally created a new game slot and it deleted my old one

Help please ☹️ I just started playing sims on my Mac and I'm still trying to figure out how everything works. I had 2 different sims game slots in my game and when I went to create a new household I had overwritten my other game and lost a house I had already put in over a week making. Is there any way to get back the old file and restore that version of the game? I tried looking in the files, trash, etc but there isn't anything there. I also tried to restore but since it was completely overwritten there was nothing I could do from the game launch screen itself to restore it that way. Please help it was my favorite house and I'm devastated ☹️

Creating a new save or household does not overwrite existing saves. Did you load your initial save, play for a week then move to a different household within that save, bulldoze the house you built and then save again?

Could you take a screenshot of your saves folder showing all the save files in list view and upload it here please.
