Sims stuck, action stuck, game stuck

 Hello.
Since the latest game update, my game is broken again.

The problem is that my Sims no longer respond:

  • I can’t switch between Sims,
  • I can’t make them perform any actions,
  • and when I try to save and quit, it either takes forever, crashes the game, or I’m forced to quit without saving and lose all my progress.

I’ve already repaired the game, but the issue still persists.
All my mods are up to date, I have no Last Exception files, and I’ve cleared the cache.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or does anyone have an idea how to fix it ?

I’ve been having the same issue and it’s been so incredibly frustrating. Never had this issue before but it’s been happening since the day I updated

I have tried to follow your steps but encountered a problem. I can’t comment on that discussion because the comments are closed so I will comment here below:

For step 1, would the new sims 4 folder be seperate from the old (eg. I chanced mine to: The Ims 4 [old]), meaning by the end of this step a newly created “The Sims 4” folder should be visible? I ask because this isn’t happening so I’m not sure how to proceed with the next steps.

please disregard my previous comment. After relaunching Finder the new folder was visible.
