I can't connect to the gallery

Hi, I recently updated to a Macbook and have downloaded the sims. The game works good but I can't connect to the gallery. I have tried updating and waiting for even hours while it tried connecting, but it just seems impossible. I have no mods downloaded or what so ever. im afraid to delete EA incase it also deletes my current game play. Is anyone else have this issue? my friend with a MacBook does not seem to have a problem with it. im Open for all kind of ideas
