I can't see the videos I recorded in sims 4 on Mac

how do i see them on a mac, when i try to open them they dont and a message pops up saying they cant be opened

(Edit - split from thread in PC tech forum and slightly edited title to reflect a Mac issue, Bluebellflora)

    @NincyNancy 

    Mac can’t open .avi files, the format the game records video in. You’ll need to download a converter like Handbrake or VLC to convert them to mp4 format.

    @yrsp2 NVM!! I figured it out! I downloaded an app called Smart Converter and works awesome!
