I have been stuck on preparing trying to re-download the sims 4

The sims 4 randomly uninstalled so I tried to re download it but it is always stuck on preparing and never moves past 0%. I have tried signing in and out of origin and it still won't work. I also tried deleting origin as an application and re-installing it but it won't work so if anyone has any advise of suggestions about how to fix this issue I would really appreciate it as I really want to play but have been unable to.
