hi after updating my iMac with OpenCore to macOS Sequoia, the sims 4 stopped working properly. the game launches, but when I try to load or start. new save it crashes, the screen goes completely black and then closes.
it seems the game does not recognize my AMD RADEON R9 M290X graphics card correctly. I already tried everything: reinstalling, repairing the game, removing all mods, clearing caches, updating ea app, but nothing worked.
is anyone else experiencing this after sequoia? any ideas or fixes?

If you've hacked your Mac to install an OS that isn't supported normal game troubleshooting can be tricky. Whilst you may have a somewhat stable Sequoia build, you're running it on hardware that isn't supported which can affect all other Apps. If your Mac has a Radeon R9 290 is it a 2015 iMac? If so, is there a specific reason you're trying to get it to run an unsupported version of macOS? Or were you just tinkering around (totally understand if so, it's fun, but can have consequences). TS4 runs fine on Big Sur, the last supported OS on that model Mac.
Your GPU is listed as compatible in the GraphicsCards.sgr file:
card 0x67B0 "AMD Radeon HD R290 X2" $cardLevelUber $resolutionHigh
but maybe the DeviceID is different in which case you need to add it - https://bluebellflora.com/sims-4-how-to-add-your-gpu-to-the-graphicscards-sgr-file/
