If you have any issues to launch the game after downloading Legacy Edition, please open the game by pressing 'Play' from your Origin game library.

@EA_MaiSome quick things worth noting about this update:
( 1 ) If you Mac hardware does NOT support Metal then you will be required to use Legacy Edition. I believe that Mojave and Catalina will refuse to install on hardware that can't support Metal, but it is very possible for earlier macOS versions (El Capitan, 10.11; Sierra, 10.2; High Sierra, 10.13) to install on hardware that does not support Metal and will therefore require the Legacy Edition (these same versions, on hardware that DOES support Metal, will use the standard Base Game).
( 2 ) The Legacy Edition disables all online connectivity. This means that Gallery will no longer be available to you. You will likely not be able to purchase future packs either.
Now might be a good time to start looking into a hardware upgrade. Buying used is a good option, but make sure it supports at least Mojave as the operating system (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacOS_Mojave#System_requirements ).
