I meant to mention this in the original post, but I enabled Vsync and the problem still persists.
Not really. I can't switch from sim to sim or select anything in my household. No interaction options come up if I click on something. For example, if I click on the shower to have my sim take a shower, no options will display.
Yes, my computer is up to date.
I tried playing with a clean game folder, but the problem still persisted. I tried repairing the game and then logging out of Origin and then restarting my computer, which seemed to work for a few hours before my game once again "froze" and I couldn't interact with anything.
