Issues with Sims 4 on Mac - Employment & General Use

Hi guys

I wonder if you can help me as I'm having a few issues with my sims 4 on my MacBook.

Firstly - when ever I login to the sims, each time the game thinks it's the first time I've logged in so I get the notification about the expansion packs on the homepage. Also all of the hairstyles, clothing, build mode items have the gold star showing I have never used them when I have.. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

Secondly - I can never get promoted anymore, I will do all the targets, get the yellow tick in employment but the promotion stage never happens. My sims also seem to now go to work in random work uniforms, but these aren't the normal uniforms worn?

I have done every update the Origin has offered, so I'm just hoping someone knows why this is happening and I can stop it happening in the future.
