The game would have no bearing on your web browser. Have you checked how much internal storage you have available in System Settings and how much RAM the system is using and how much is available in Activity Monitor? It may help to restart your Mac. And if your Mac is an Intel machine you could reset the NVRAM (not applicable to Apple silicon Macs) https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102539
