Left Dragging Not Working

Hello all!

This is a strange issue... and also one that's making me want to scream into a pillow!

I had NO problems with this when I used my PC--I only switched to Mac recently, and suddenly the following issue has come up:

In CAS, when clicking and dragging ANYTHING to the left, the game will fight against it. That is, unless I'm moving the mouse quickly. When first attempting to click and drag to the left, the game will normally "assume" I'm attempting to drag to the right. So if I'm turning the character, for instance, they will always turn in the same direction, no matter which way I'm moving the mouse. If I'm trying to resize a nose by dragging to the left, I'll find my mouse moving the nose upwards.

I'm having this issue with two mice, and it is not acting up in any other game, so it seems to be exclusively a Sims 4 problem.

  • Hi

I have a Macbook Pro M2, from 2022 updated to macOS Sonoma v. 14.2 (latest version), it's bought in the beginning of this year. And my cursor is so odd, when in create a sim, it will barely slide left, unless I move the mouse very quickly. When trying to edit features on the sims, in slides in odd directions... I'm so annoyed. I have tried the fixes I could find on the other posts, both here and on Reddit. I have now tried to uninstall, and it doesn't work either! It does this both on external mouse and on the trackpad

I have searched the internet through, to find a solution for this problem and it seems like it goes years back, and no-one has found any, and almost all of the posts just stops out of nowhere with no solutions.

I have tried the windowed to full screen thing (mentioned in another posts and sounded like it fixed it for them). I didn't work for me ☹️ I don't have this issue when playing Dota example.

    What do I do!?

It has been a problem reported on and off over the years. The fixes range from manually resetting Origin to updating or reinstalling the OS.
