Hello,
I'm getting an unrecognized video card error. The issue actually started with me being unable to open my game at all, but after launching a new clean game, I can now open the game again. However, I like to play in windowed mode and can no longer make the window take up my full screen, and the config.log shows this:
=== Graphics device info ===
Number: 0
Name (driver): Apple M2
Name (database): [Found: 0, Supported: 1]
Vendor: Apple
Chipset: Vendor: 106b, Device: 0000, Board: 00000000, Chipset: 0000
Driver: macOS Metal driver, Version: 0.0.0.0
Driver version: 0
Monitor: FD626D62
Texture memory: 10922MB
Vertex program: 3.0
Pixel program: 3.0
Hardware TnL: 0

I'd like to fix the video issue if that's possible.
As a follow up, though, I also can no longer open the game when Origin is in offline mode. I'm not sure why that's the case, but it would be nice to be able to play the game offline again. I've launched a new clean game, reset and reinstalled Origin/redownloaded the game, etc. Not sure what else to try.

Have you restarted your Mac since this happened? Have you repaired the game in Origin? - GingerbredPalace3 years agoRising Novice
Yes, I am having precisely the same issue as 21AMMA, which began immediately after the Sims 4 game update auto-installed on 04/19/2023. I have no mods or custom content installed, and also have an Apple M2 computer. I ultimately uninstalled Origin and Sims 4 after backing up save files, then erased my Mac and started with fresh installs due to not being able to launch the game after graphics issue initially presented itself. After doing all of that Sims 4 was able to actually launch again, but still no option to edit resolution and full-screen mode is unusable. I am also no longer seeing the "unable to confirm graphics card" error message after erase and reinstall but in-game graphics issue is of course the same as before when the graphics card warning first appeared.
