Mac - Origin Helper Tool Nightmare
So there have been MULTIPLE complaints and no solutions. I open Origin for Mac and it promps me to install the helper tool, then it asks my password, which I politely provide, then it just loops aga...

This issue was fixed in an Origin update in February/March. Run the Origin reset tool - http://help.ea.com/uk/article/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ - then download and install the latest version of Origin - https://www.origin.com/en-gb/download
