This is all I have: http://imgur.com/k2JJZBE
Im gonna have a look through my other folders and see if I can find anything.
What was the location on your hard drive that you chose when you installed the game? It should have made a folder there and all the relevant icons should be there. You mentioned that you can launch the game from the icon in your dock and from within Applications - where exactly do you see it within Applications?

Ah!! Now I am just getting the unknown error occured when i try to open the sims through origin..?

Oh dear! So you managed to successfully install everything through Origin? Try launching the game from the shortcut on your computer rather than via Origin. Also be sure to restart the computer before trying to play.
Are you manually monitoring and resetting the RAM? That may also help.
See BluebellFlora's guide on how to do this: http://bluebellflora.com/the-sims-3-on-a-mac/resetting-ram-during-gameplay/
I restart my computer before I play TS3. The memory used as seen in Activity Monitor is at about 3GB after the restart. If I open the Launcher it goes up to around 11 GB (that's all I've done - just opened the Launcher!). At this point I reset the RAM. Then I hit play and get through the opening sequence. I then press cmd-return to put the game in windowed mode from time to time while playing (and always before saving or using CAS). That way I can keep an eye on the memory and reset RAM if necessary. Being in windowed mode also allows you to close the game using force quit if it freezes up - it's better to crash the game than your whole computer. - Anonymous11 years ago
Yeah! I downloaded everything and then installed it, then i went to open it(through the i button) didnt work, then trough the shortcut, didnt work.

I dont know what to do now... Since I cant get my game up and running I cant do the link...

Wow you are having a lot of problems! So, just to be absolutely sure, you cleanly unstalled the disc version of the game, including deleting the stray transgaming files. Then you downloaded and installed via Origin, using the little i button, but now the game will not launch? How many games do you have installed - just the base game or expansions as well? Did you patch the base game after installing it?
- Anonymous11 years ago
Yes i cleanly uninstalled, I had no transgaming files, I installed all of them, when i opend the base game it said 'update available' so i pressed update and it crashed half way through.
Do you think I should try again?
- Anonymous11 years ago
Yes I think you should try again. I know it takes ages and is a nuisance but hopefully you will get it running and never have to go through this again!
I would uninstall again (get rid of the transgaming files too) and also delete the Origin client and reinstall it. Then just download the base game, patch it up to date (to 1.67). If the update doesn't work through the Launcher, use the manual superpatch. Then test the game works. Get the base game working before spending time adding expansions. When you do start adding expansions, do so in order of release date (pasted below).
I wish you luck!

If you own more than just the base game, it is recommended that you install the packs in order of release date, which is as follows.
