[MAC] Sims 3 won't launch due to 'unexpected eror'
Just purchased the Sims 3 Pets expansion pack and installed in via digital download. My base game was running just fine before. I have not been able to play the game with the expansion pack since. Origin starts up, the Sims 3 launch acts like it will show up, then I get an error message claiming there was an 'unexpected error'. I just really want to enjoy this game, but lately it's been giving me so many issues with expansion packs, that I'm about to give it all up. HELP?!?!?!
Without knowing what other packs you have installed or what Mac you have it's a bit difficult to help but please read the following which may provide further help:

BTW, you don't need Origin to play the game on a Mac, just to download it. Once download the external installer runs to install it and then you can just launch it from your Applications folder 🙂
Also, moving this to the Sims Mac forum as it is not an Origin issue.
