Manually uninstalled expansion, Origin still says "installed" and can't download

teI manually uninstalled the  Sims3 70's 80's and 90's stuff expansion because i was getting the age old "no disc found" error AND because apparently my uninstaller is damaged and won't open. I had redeemed my game code on origin but can't download it digitally as it still shows the stuff expansion as 'installed' and is only prompting me to hit 'play'.

Been searching for a solution for 30 minutes and getting very angry as I can't play sims at all since it thinks that I need this disc when the files are no longer there.

Update: trying to resinstall via disc and "overwriting" install it says is there. Ugh. Never use discs, only origin downloads people. Learn from my mistakes.

Didn't work still tells me no disc.
