Hey y’all just wanted to reply here as I finally figured it out, thanks to this comment. I’ve been searching all over for the past few days. Here’s what I did to finally get mods working. This is for Mac users.
- I realized that the Mods folder wasn’t there and didn’t have the resource file in it because I was looking at the wrong place. As the individual above mention the sims folder your looking for will be in your documents folder. However if you’ve stores you documents folder in iCloud you won’t see it. What I did was that I took my documents folder off of iCloud and dragged it into my favourite tab in finder. Once iCloud finished downloading everything back to computer you will see the electronic arts folder with the sims 4 folder inside. The mods folder will appear wit the resource file. (Make sure in your game you enable mods. You do this by launching the game and then going to options section)
- Also what you want to do is look at the version of sims 4 you have. This will be located on the bottom left on the main menu. When you know this number you need to make sure the mod is compatible with the version you have
- Sometimes Mods come with instructions and some don’t. If the Mod you downloaded came with a mods folder just drag it into the sims 4 mods folder. If the mod you downloaded came as a zip, unzip it and put the files into your sims mod folder.
When you start the game you’ll get confirmation that the mod has been added. I hope this helps as I’m relieved this finally works
