Neophyte w/ Macbook Air M22 seeking aid in learning to build

Complete neophyte here who posses a simple Macbook Air M22 w/ external drive. Currently my true desire is learning how to create builds like the ones I've been following for years on social media.

I've watched YouTube for guidance yet they seem geared toward PCs and perhaps exceed my (real) cognitive shortcomings. I am such a green peep that, very embarrassingly, has even failed to direct my original Sim to move about her house (and yes, I do have a mouse).

Seeking aid, guidance; a wee bit of mentoring, etc.. Safe iOS-friendly resources to delve into for these precious codes; patient, simple, step-by-step guides as to exactly where and how to input needed code; really anything to abet my learning curve and progression as to how add CC, mods and cheat codes into a Mac.

For context ONLY (NOT seeking sympathy as I have the most wonderful family): I reek of desperation because I've had a bad health flare up and am rather tethered to home. I can't paint (my bread and butter) hence my craving for the builds. The disease set in as a teenager thereby affecting some cognitive functioning (the joys of math became a lovely memory, as did school itself which was something I'd never have expected to miss). So apologies in advance if I cause anyone frustration.

Much gratitude for indulging me regardless of the outcome. Please take such good care and cheers!

You don't need Mac specific advice. The in-game controls using the user interface in the game is the same as Windows. The Sims 4 folder which contains your user data such as the saves and Mods folder is also in the same location - Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.

What specifically are you having problems with?
