No Mods Folder?

I have been playing the sims quite a bit recently- I am trying to put in some CC and mods into my sims 4 game. Everything is up to date, repaired and ready to play. When I go into my EA folder>Sims 4 there is no Mods folder?

I tried to create a new folder named "Mods", placed some cc in it - no luck.

I have enabled it to be allowed in my game, refreshed it (multiple times).

I have even tried to copy and paste the resources into the folder to see if that would help, nothing.

I have tried plenty of different CCs and nothing pops up.

I don't know what else to do, everyone else who has this problem has it resolved in a way that when i try, it doesn't help.

Help? 🙂

  • @Samantha701 , the Mods folder should be a part Sims 4 folder. However, try this.

Move the entire current Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4) to your Desktop and do NOT delete it! This is where your saved games are stored. Next, start up Sims 4 to allow for a new folder to generate. The Mods folder should regenerate as a part of this folder. Remember that none of your Saved games will show up as they are currently on your Desktop. Quit the game.

Check the new Sims 4 folder to make sure that a Mods folder exists within it. If it does, then try moving one or two pieces of CC/Mods into the folder, starting the game up and seeing if those pieces of CC show up CAS under the proper category. If the few pieces you added show up, then you can transfer your saved games from the Desktop into the new folder and add the Mods/CC you wish to.

    Please keep us updated.
