No option to switch to Legacy Edition

So there is supposed to be an option to switch from 64-bit to Legacy Edition in Game Properties but I don't have that option. I've repaired my game and it still doesn't show me that option. Is there a way to force start the LE another way?

I don't know which part you think is a bug but from what you are describing, there are no bugs in what you want to do.

If you want to force your Mac to run the Legacy Edition of the game you could start up up your Mac in Safe Mode https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh21245/mac however this can cause game instability and is hugely risky. Starting up in Safe Mode disables the Metal driver on Intel Macs, no idea if it would work on a Mac with Apple Silicon.

The Mac version of the game is, and always has been, 64-bit, including the Legacy Edition. There is no option in Origin to switch between 32-bit and 64-bit for macOS.

If your Mac supports Metal it will always load the current version of the game over the Legacy Edition even if you have Legacy Edition installed.

Out of interest, why do you want to load the LE?

There’s a handy trick to making custom photos non-cc but a patch has made it impossible without the use of the Legacy Edition.

So what you’re saying is that this isn’t a big and there’s no way for me to launch the Legacy Edition of the game?
