@Bluebellflora well I've found the sims 4 folder somewhere, but the problem is now that my mods don't work. my mods are placed in the right folder but they don't work in the game itself.

"Somewhere"? The game only looks in one place (Documents > Electronic Arts) for it and if it doesn't find it will recreate one.
The Mods folder must be directly in the Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder, no sub-folder or renamed folder.
They need to be unzipped/compressed and have the extension .package or .ts4script.
CC/Mods should be enabled in the in-game settings.
They must also be 100% compatible with the current patch level of the game.

Good luck then. If the Mods are correctly stored in the Mods folder the game will load them.
If you manage to fix it please post back here with what worked so it helps others experiencing the same issue 🙂
