Opening gallery crashes game

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.61.15.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work and the Holiday packs.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Every time I open the gallery.
What happens when the bug occurs? I try to open the gallery, it doesn't open, and the game crashes and quits.
What do you expect to see? I expect the gallery to open and the game to not crash.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Every time I try to open the gallery in my game, the entire game crashes. I thought it was the custom content I had downloaded, but it didn't happen before when I had custom content, the gallery was working. Also, I even removed all of the custom content from my game and repaired it before opening it back up, and it still crashes with no Cc. I don't know what triggered it to stop working, because it was working just the other day and I didn't do anything drastic to make the game change. But, now it is every. time. I try to open the gallery my game crashes and exits out. I tried everything. I tried repairing the game, updating my mac, now it is up to date, removing all custom content, deleting the localthumbcache.packages, I've tried everything and it still happens. I can't get to my pre-made sims or my houses. There is a video attached to show you what happens. It happens every time. Please help.

I don't think I'm running an antivirus, not that I know of at least. How do I check?

Yes I have tried repair game multiple times

I have also tried removing the mods and cc but the game still crashes in vanilla.

You're not playing the Legacy Edition of the game, you are playing the normal version as your Mac supports Metal. You should do a complete uninstall and reinstall to get rid of it.

    - Uninstall the game
    - Run the Origin reset tool - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
    - Restart your Mac
    - Launch Origin and turn off automatic updates
    - Download and install your game again but not the Legacy Edition
