Origin re-downloading sims 4 packs repeatedly

I have recently moved my sims game from my old 2011 macbook pro to a 2015 macbook air because of the issues with 32 bit computers.

I originally downloaded the origin app, installed the sims 4 and all seemed well. The game launched but I hadn't moved my save files yet so I just made sure the menu screen was working.

After moving the laptop home and to a new wifi it began re-downloading all of the sims 4 packs again. It keeps downloading them over and over again.

Some of the packs say 'play', some say 'details' and others say 'add to queue' when i look at them on origin in the 'more' tab.

How do I make sure all of my packs are downloaded properly and stop them from continuously downloading the same packs over and over again?

I've already tried repairing the game a few times.

Your 2011 Mac is 64-bit and the game has always been 64-bit on Mac but it doesn't support Metal which is the relevant part of the big upgrade for you. Ignore the reference to 32-bit in the announcements, that's only applicable to Windows users.

Run the Origin reset tool - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ At the Origin login screen uncheck the box for automatic updates to your game and Origin. Now check the status of your game and packs and download if the option is there.
