Origin Saying External Hard Drive is "Read Only" Mac! Help?

Question

Hey lovely people!I have recently switched to a MacBook (Air 2020) and am running MacOS Monterey. I have been playing the Sims, but for storage purposes would like to have it on my external hard drive. Now, I have been able to change my install path from Steam to my HD with no issues, however, when I go to do the same from Origin, it says "This folder is read only." I am very lost and confused and slightly frustrated, so any help is GREATLY apprecaited.Thank you!

@Grey_Goblin_117  The Steam version of the game is not available for Mac. You need to have purchased the game through Origin.
