Purchase Books interaction missing on Mac — Version 1.128.90.1230

I’m playing The Sims 4 on Mac, version 1.128.90.1230, and I have no mods or custom content installed.

Many DLC skill books are missing from the bookshelf purchase menu, including all three Video Gaming skill books from City Living.

I’ve tried repairing the game through the EA app and testing with a completely fresh Sims 4 user folder and a new save. In the fresh save, the “Purchase Books” interaction is missing from both bookshelves and computers, even on a regular residential lot.

City Living is installed, and the EP03 folder is present in The Sims 4 Packs directory.

Could this be a game bug? Is there another troubleshooting step I should try?
