Re: Is my macbook air too old for the sims 4?

@ebuckholtz100  Your computer is borderline—it probably wouldn't even run the base game very well, let alone expansion packs.  Here's EA's official list of minimum and recommeded specs:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/the-sims-4-system-requirements/

Your graphics chip is integrated and, from what I could gather with a bit of googling, never could quite keep up with the Nvidia 9600m listed in the above link.  You have barely enough RAM, but if you're running one of the newer versions of OS X (Sierra/High Sierra/Mojave), your computer might not have enough memory left over for the game.

I don't know for sure, but my best guess is that this computer would run the base game on low settings, and maybe a couple of stuff packs.  The newer expansion packs (Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous) would be out of the question.  If you have another computer to play on, that would probably be a better option.  Otherwise, I don't think you'd get a great play experience out of this one.

Is my MacBook Air Also too Old if its a 2019?

  • I mean it’s a 13-inch 2019 air with a memory of 16GB and Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB and 250GB storage but it won’t let me go into the Sims 4 EA website on my MacBook it just keeps saying “We are sorry, We can’t seem to find the page you we’re looking for” do you know the reason it’s saying this?

No idea about the website, I'm not sure what you're using it for.

Your Mac will be able to run the game, you may need to have the graphics on low and not overload it with Mods and CC but it will run. You haven't stated which version of macOS you are running though, neither have you stated the processor, which is as important as the specs you have provided.
