Re: My Sims 4 game on MacOS Sierra won't save

I figured it out!! My Sims 4 folder was put in the iCloud Drive and not physically on the computer. I downloaded the folder and reopened Sims 4 and my previous saves were loaded!

What exact issue are you having? Could you please click on your Sims 4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder then go to File > Get Info. In the info window that pops up please copy and paste the file path of your Sims 4 folder under the General > Where section in a post here.

So, I am having the same problem.. Where could you see that it was in iCloud Drive instead of on the computer?...

Click once on the Sims 4 folder to select it then go to File > Get Info. In the window that opens look under the General > Where section for the file path.

Or you could check your iCloud settings in System Preferences to see if you have iCloud set to store your Documents folder in the cloud.
  • I am having the same problem and have been going back and forth trying to figure it out. My folder is in my icloud Drive and the file path is iCloud Drive - Documents - Electronic Arts.

I don't know how to download the file like suggested and am really stuck!

I'm having the exact same issue. However, my Sims4 folder is in my documents folder under documents. How do I get my game to save again?
