What did you run in Disk Utility?
Thanks for testing if disabling Origin in-game made a difference.
We can use Terminal to search for the Sims 4 folder.
Open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

I don’t have any issues now. Im not sure what changed or if it will happen again but for now everything looks good and is working with no glitches.

Great! So you did a clean install of the game and Origin on the laptop, backed it up and then used that backup in migration assistant on the iMac? Did you migrate everything over as if you were setting up a new Mac?
That's a great workaround, albeit a bit laborious though. Could you provide the full specs from both the Macs, everything minus the serial number from About This Mac? Would be very interesting to see the differences. - BlazinJinxx3 years agoNot applicable@Bluebellflora Yep! I noticed that my MacBook didn't have any issues, so I cleaned my Imac in case of some conflicting flies and started fresh wiping the entire hard drive then used migration assistant to transfer the files over from the laptop. (Making sure I backed up important files externally)
The specifications are:
2021 IMac - Chip Apple M1, Memory 8, Macintosh HD with MacOS Ventura 13.3.1
2020 Macbook Pro - 2.3 GHz Quad- Cose Intel Core i7, Graphics Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536Mb, Memory 16GB, MacOs Ventura 13.3.1 - @BlazinJinxx
I am really loving this fix that worked for you. It's genius in a slightly nerdy way 🙂 and also really interesting. Thanks again for posting it and explaining what worked. Love it! - BlazinJinxx3 years agoNot applicable@Bluebellflora Thanks, Just wanted to share in case someone else is still struggling.
