Re: Sims 4 not working after update
I also moved all of my mods out of the folder and tried it again to see if it was my mods but it still wasn’t working after that.

Can you please move the whole Mods folder to the desktop AND trash the localthumbcache.package file which is also in the Sims 4 folder. Then try again. That didn’t work

You are running the Legacy Edition which you won't need to do if you update your version of macOS to 10.11.6 El Capitan or later.
