Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

Even when powering on the MacBook, and immediately opening the ea app to open the game, so nothing has time to open, when I click play, there's a popup that says that it's already open, even though it's not. Didn't happen on my old windows computer, and it was my first time trying on the new computer. Only thought is that I could've put something in wrong when bringing over my saves? No mods or cc btw. Tried uninstalling and repairing too.

this is exactly whats happening to me! Ive tried everything! same error code saying its already running then closes! that photo is what mine looks like.

It's a permissions issue caused by a setting on your Mac. Read the opening post in this thread I've merged your posts into and follow the instructions to fix it.

When I did that it said it could not recognize my game card anymore and nothing in my mod files worked or anything. Starts a brand new game and not allowing mods.
