All of my saved world within the Sims 4 from the origin client have disappeared. It was working at the beginning of January but they are all gone now. I can still see the game packs, expansions, and stuff packs that I bought but it is treating it like a brand new game when origin shows all of my logged hours. When I tried to go to any o my saved games it took me to CAS and made me start s if a rand new game and now will only show that one game as my only save file. Any idea what happened or how I can get my old worlds back?

@SarahAnn8771 Your user data folder (the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts) may have been deleted or moved, which is why the game isn't loading your old saves anymore. The most common cause of saves disappearing is the Sims 4 folder, along with the entire contents of Documents, being uploaded to cloud storage: OneDrive in Windows, or iCloud in macOS. Please look there for a second Sims 4 folder. If you find one, you can move the entire folder, or just the content you want, back to its proper place in Documents\Electronic Arts.
If you can't find a second folder, or you find your content but can't get it to load, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

Thank you for the help! My computer is a Mac OS. I did look in my iCloud Drive and the save file is the same as the one as what the Sims 4 currently has which is Slot_00000002.save . I'm not showing anything else within my computer or desktop.

@SarahAnn8771 Sorry for the late reply. I moved your thread to the Sims 4 Mac section.
It sounds like iCloud synced the new version of the Sims 4 folder, the one with only your newest save. You may be able to find a backup somewhere though. Open a Finder window, and click on Macintosh HD, or whatever you've renamed your hard drive, in the left panel. (If you don't see it, click "Finder" in the upper left corner of your screen, then Preferences, then Sidebar; under Devices, check the box next to Hard disks.)
In the Macintosh HD folder, open Users, then your username, and look for any folders labeled "iCloud Drive (Archive)." There might be quite a few, but start by looking inside the newest one by its last modified date. If you find a Sims 4 folder with your old saves in it, you can move that folder back to Documents\Electronic Arts on your hard drive. It's best to turn off iCloud's auto sync feature first though, so this doesn't happen again.

- 4 years ago@puzzlezaddict Hi! If I move my electronic arts folder to my new hardrive, will it work that way too? Because sims takes up all my storage and I wanna move it without loosing my saves 🙂

Yes but you will need to create a symlink for the game to load your user data https://bluebellflora.com/saving-your-sims-4-folder-to-an-external-drive/
